FLORENCE, Italy (NEWS CENTER) A chance visit to an American military cemetery sparks a series of coincidences.

After posting a picture of the cemetery on Facebook, a childhood friend responded with a post that her uncle had been killed in the war and was buried in the cemetery. Bill had take a picture of one Mainer’s grave. It was his friend’s uncle.

In researching Quentin G. Pike’s 99th Bomb Group Bill became aware that his college professor had served as president of the group. Dr. Warren T. Burns left a series of videos talking about his experiences in the war.

The series of coincidences prompted amazed responses on all sides and proved, once again, that Maine is a big small town.
