Veterans Services find new home

VA manager’s email mocks veteran suicides

The Fairfield County Veterans Services Commission has found a new home.

On Tuesday the Fairfield County Commissioners approved a five year lease for part of a building located in the Greenfield Center. The 4,800-square-foot space, at 3044 Columbus-Lancaster Road NW, Lancaster, is located in a shopping area near the Meijer store. The rent will be $4,800 per month.

“It’s a great location for the veterans, with plenty of parking and space for the office,” said Dennis Keller, Fairfield County Facilities Manager.

The commission is now housed at 227 E. Main St., Lancaster, across from the Hall of Justice. Before that, the commission was located in the basement of Fairfield County Courthouse building on East Main Street.

Park Russell, the commission’s director, said he is relieved to have finally found a place.
